I am a native of Memphis, TN. I am a wife and mother of six children. I am the founder of a non-profit organization called Defy the Odds, Inc . and owner of JMarie Inc. I was born into a Christian family and grew up in the Baptist Church. I accepted Jesus as Lord and was baptized into the family of Christ in 1988 at seven years old, at Gilfield Baptist Church. There I served as a member of the choir, taught Sunday School and vacation bible school. Later in life, I began to question God, as I knew that there was more to my walk as a Christian, and wanted to know Him in a more personal way. I left the Baptist Church in 2018 and joined All Nations Worship Assembly of Memphis, a non-denominational church which is also an apostolic environment. It was there that I was introduced to the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which I had been having encounters with all of my life through dreams and visions.  It was at ANWA that I served in the intercessory prayer team, prophetic team, deliverance and evangelism ministry. I also served as an usher and greeter. I am now a member of Dominion World Outreach Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Sharon Nesbitt. 

Although I grew up in a Christian household and was raised as a student of the Word of God, I have had my share of failures and horrific life experiences. I am a recovered addict, ex-prostitute, and convicted felon. It is my belief that all of mankind is redeemable, and my goal is to share the love of God and the good news of Jesus Christ to all who will listen. My story is one of repentance, redemption and unconditional love because that is what i have continuously received from the Father. It is my belief that you can defy the odds of whatever it is that you have faced if only you choose to believe and accept it!
